Study Fatigue

What I would do for 48 hours of free time! This week has been incredibly busy on so many different levels. My students have their midterm tomorrow so I have been working double-time answering e-mail questions and prepping them. (If I had a nickel for every time they e-mailed me a question that could be answered if they just bothered to open their textbook, I would be a millionaire!) On top of the exam-time scurry, I have had a fair deal of my own work, meetings, and lectures that are "optional," but I am still expected to attend. On top of it all, I had a gargantuan order for origami dolls that has had me on my toes! (Not complaining, but why couldn't it have happened last week when things were quiet?!)
My web presence this week has been pretty much reduced to nil. nada. zero. I just need to keep reminding myself that I chose to go to graduate school because I thrive on the pressure. I love what I do and I love the challenge that comes with it... But on days like today when the sun was so brilliant with a soft breeze, it gets really hard to convince yourself that doing work is worth it. It looks like I am just going to have to buckle down and suck it up!
In online news, I am currently featured in two lovely treasuries. Please check them out if you have a free moment and leave some love!

As for me? It is back to the books. My goal is to finish a solid three chapters of my latest read before bed. Wish me luck!

It sure seemed like your schedule is full. Sometimes it seemed that we are tested to see how much we can stretch. And like the saying goes, "We would not be handed more than we can handle." Hope you have a wonderful week ahead.
I hope you're able to enjoy the sunshine soon ... and get some rest. Sounds like you're doing amazing things!

Thank you Melody and BK! I think that is an awesome quote and I should always try to keep that in mind. What I notice about myself is that regardless of my actual workload, I always manage to find a way to make it "fit." My week is starting to look up and I see lots of shiny opportunities ahead!!
