Treasury Thursday: Pale September

I cannot believe it is September already... Time certainly does fly.  I've been in a sombre mood lately as I realize my life is picking back up again. That subtle wave of homesickness is never too far behind.  So I put on some Fiona Apple, lit some candles, and worked at my desk while J. was at work.  The song "Pale September" came on and it really reminded me of home.  I remember going to school every September, waiting for the bus in that misty fog with a sky that was neither blue nor grey.  It had its own kind of beauty and I will miss it this year.  So this Treasury is in honor of September.

Pale September, I wore the time like a dress that year
The autumn days swung soft around me, like cotton on my skin
But as the embers of the summer lost their breath and disappeared
My heart went cold and only hollow rhythms resounded from within (Fiona Apple)

I think this might be one of the prettiest treasuries I have ever created.  Thanks so much to the Packagery for developing Treasure Trove and to Kat Lantz for sharing this amazing widget with me!

That is quite a pretty treasury! Now that I don't have to go to school anymore, I'm a much bigger fan of September. ;D

Gorgeous! My mother used to call these skies "Summer's Lament". Not yet crisp cold, no long hot bright.

Thanks so much aquariann, Karen, and Julessa! I'm so glad you all enjoy it. And I think "Summer's Lament" is a beautiful way to think of it (and word it!)

Wow, Excellent job with the treasury. It is indeed beautiful. I am finding it peaceful and relaxing, too.
